MOSCOW, November 11 (RIA Novosti) - A cashier at a supermarket in Berlin has foiled an robbery attempt by throwing cheese at three armed men, the Ananova news portal reported on Tuesday.
The masked men entered the Berlin-Wilmersdorf store and told a cashier to give them the day's takings. However, the 50-year-old Martina Bolle refused to meet their demands and instead grabbed packs of cheese from a nearby deli counter and started pelting the robbers with them.
"She hit one of them smack in the face with a very ripe gorgonzola, which must have been like getting a dose of natural CS gas," one of the customers told Ananova.
The robbers then fled the store empty handed.
