Russian exporting companies held more than 200 meetings with prospective partners during the Food Africa 2022 expo, Africa's first food exhibition. The export potential of the negotiations exceeded $20 million, the Russian Export Center (REC, part of the VEB.RF Group) reported.

“The Russian B2B program brought together such Egyptian companies as Carrefour, a major retail chain, Al Tayeb, a wholesale division of the Abu Dhabi-based Lulu Group International, Metro Markets, a leading Egyptian retail supplier, Edita Food Industries, a market leader in baked food products, and Gourmet Foods, the best supplier of quality food for the HoReCa industry and airlines,” the REC said.
