MOSCOW, September 5 (RIA Novosti) - Police in the Irkutsk Region, East Siberia, have seized 20 kg (44 lbs) of heroin from a Tajik national, a police spokesman said on Friday.
The drugs were discovered in 1-kg packages in the suspect's bag. Three more packages were discovered in the 35-year-old man's hotel room.
Another suspect in the case has been also detained, the spokesman added. An investigation is under way.
