Russian gymnast Kanayeva wins 4 golds in Azerbaijan

Russia's Yevgeniya Kanayeva took gold medals in all four individual events at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championship in Azerbaijan, azerisport.com reported on Sunday.

BAKU, May 17 (RIA Novosti) - Russia's Yevgeniya Kanayeva took gold medals in all four individual events at the Rhythmic Gymnastics European Championship in Azerbaijan, azerisport.com reported on Sunday.

The 19-year-old, the 2008 Olympic champion, won the rope, hoop, ribbon and ball events, to become five-times European champion.

At the 5th World Cup competition in Pesaro, Italy earlier this month, she also won three gold medals in the rope, hoop and ball events and a silver medal in the ribbon event.
