Irish Celtic winger Aiden McGeady has passed his medical exams in Moscow's Spartak and may soon make his debut in new football team, Sovetsky Sport reported on Thursday.
McGeady, 24, came to Moscow in early August to discuss a 4-year $12.58-million contract with the Moscow football club. His transfer fee is valued at almost $15 million.
Spartak's head coach, Valery Karpin, said McGeady's transfer is practically in the bag.
"Tomorrow or the day after McGeady will sign the contract and then we will officially make an announcement on his transfer," Kaprin said.
McGeady's first game with the Moscow club could be against Siberia's Tomi on August 21.
McGeady has been with Celtic since 2004 and has made 31 career goals.
