MOSCOW, September 9 (RIA Novosti) - Iran will present its new "nuclear package" to the Iran Six on Wednesday, the country's media quoted Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki as saying.

Iran Six, a group of international mediators comprising the United States, France, Britain, Russia, China and Germany, held a meeting in Frankfurt last week to discuss Iran's nuclear program. The group has threatened to impose new sanctions the Islamic Republic if it refuses to halt its nuclear activities.

"The new package has been updated in light of the current developments in the world and different events that have happened and it will be submitted to the P5+1 tomorrow," the Press TV quoted Mottaki as saying.

He expressed hope that the proposals would help in organizing a new round of negotiations.

The country's president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, announced on Monday that representatives of the group had been invited to Tehran to receive the updated proposals, Tehran Times said.

He, however, added that his country would never "negotiate on the Iranian nation's obvious rights."

Western powers suspect Iran's uranium enrichment is aimed at developing nuclear weapons. Tehran denies the allegation, saying its nuclear program is for electricity production only.

Mohamed ElBaradei, the head of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), said on Monday that the organization had reached a "stalemate" with Iran over its nuclear program, although he acknowledged that Tehran had been more cooperative regarding activities at its main nuclear facility in Natanz and an IR-40 research reactor at Arak.

Western powers seek harsher sanctions against the Islamic Republic if it does not agree to halt uranium enrichment. Russia and China, however, insist on diplomatic steps.
