Norwegian bomber and gunman Anders Behring Breivik over the weekend has been taken back to the island of Utoeya where he killed 69 persons, to reconstruct his rampage to police, world media said on Sunday.

The 32-year-old gunman described the killings which he committed on July 22 in close detail during an eight-hour tour on the island, prosecutor Paal-Fredrik Hjort Kraby told a press conference in Oslo. Investigators regarded the visit as an interview, he added.

Breivik was handcuffed and had on leg shackles when taken to the island. Held tightly on a police leash, the gunman was seen pointing to where he had fired shots. Heavily armed police officers shielded the far-right extremist from public view. Six police boats were deployed around the island, while a police helicopter flew over it.

Police later said Breivik showed no remorse.

Breivik's attacks also killed eight in an Oslo bombing. The gunman, who was remanded in custody on July 25, has admitted to being responsible for the car bomb in Oslo and the subsequent shooting on Utoya island.
